Coventry Station: lnwrcov1282c

This close up of image 'lnwrcov1282a' shows the track arrangements at the Birmingham end of the station including the turnouts to the L & B shed (on the left) and the up platform (on the right). This arrangement lasted until the station was rebuilt in 1959 to the four platform configuration known today. The steps and lower portion of Coventry No 2 signal box can just be seen with a water column standing in front. In addition a signal is also evident to the left of the van in the siding presumably protecting the up platform from traffic in the parcel sidings on the right.
