Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 45091 is seen passing Gosford Green goods yard on a RCTS special, 'The Mercian' on 2nd June 1957. Built as LMS No 5091 by the Vulcan Foundry in April 1935, No 45091 was to remain in service until September 1966 when it was withdrawn from 8F Springs Branch shed in Wigan to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Great Bridge.
