LMS Route: Coventry Loop Line

Humber Road Junction: lnwrcll2372

An unidentified LNWR 0-8-0 locomotive is being re-railed after hitting the buffer stops at Folley junction. The junction, later known as Humber Road junction, connected with the Birmingham to Rugby line to the south of Coventry station and was protected by a short siding as seen in image 'lnwrcll103a'. On the right is a partial view of the signal cabin seen in another image - 'lnwrcll116'. The LNWR Society believe that the 0-8-0 is possibly No 1895 and the second LNWR 0-8-0 seen behind on rescue duty has 4 digit number starting with a '2' but cannot confirm any other numbers beyond that.
