LMS Route: Rugby to Market Harborough

Looking along the up platform towards Market Harborough with the main station building on the right. On the left the LMS upper quadrant Down starter is raised indicating that the line is clear for a through service to Market Harborough. On the left is one of the lampposts minus the oil lamp which would be placed inside the glass case. The most junior member of the station's staff would be responsible for cleaning the lamp glass, filling the reservoir and trimming the wick.
