Looking East from Navigation Street bridge towards the station with LNWR section still in-situ with a temporary footbridge in the foreground. The rebuilding of New Street station was carried out in phases with the Midland portion of the station being the first area to be demolished. The short siding in the centre is the remains of Coffee House Bay as seen in image 'lnwrbns_str407' whilst to the right and in the distance the Eastern end of Queens Drive can be seen. Above the LNWR portion of New Street and on the left is the rear of brick built Queen's Hotel whilst to its right is the now familiar sight of the Rotunda and further to the right the spire of St Martin's church can be seen.
