Ex-LNWR 50ft arc roof composite No M17985M is seen its LMS form at Birmingham New Street in 1954. The vehicle was converted for motor train working to Diagram M36 during LMS days and is seen here almost unaltered from the original. It was originally built to diagram D187 by Wolverton and numbered as LNWR No 3175 before being renumbered by the LMS as 9515.
