Ex-LMS 5XP 'Jubilee Class' 4-6-0 No 45577 'Bengal' enters New Street station with an ex-Bristol express passenger service circa 1958. The Bristol Barrow Road (82E) allocated LMS 'Jubilee' locomotive is passing New Street No 5 Signal Cabin on the right and an unidentified light engine ex-LMS 4-6-0 'Black Five' locomotive on the left. Built as LMS No 5577 by the North British Locomotive Company, No 45577 was so renumbered by British Railways in April 1948 which it carried until September 1964 when it was withdrawn from 89A Shrewsbury shed to be scrapped.
