Looking towards Aston shed along the up platform as the first evidence of electrification is seen on 4th August 1965. In the distance is Aston No 1 Signal Cabin which controlled not only the access to the three routes: Stechford; New Street via Vauxhall; and Windsor Street Goods but also to the shed.
