A seven-car Diesel Multiple Unit, made up of a Park Royal Class 103 coupled to a Gloucester RCW unit and finally a Metro-Cammell Class 101 set, arrives on a Coventry to New Street service. Geoff Dowling writes, 'As was often the case in the days before plug doors one passenger is already preparing to leap out ahead of anyone else. The tiled building in front of the camera is a simple waiting room and is still extant although the tall chimney has been removed, the lighting is now electric and much more comprehensive'.
