The end of the last Main Line Railway

The much altered Bridge 455 carrying Hilmorton Road over the old Rugby Central Station in June 1977. The tracks have been lifted and the platform buildings have been demolished. The grass covered trackbed and broken platform surface have now become a public footpath. The main station building and ticket office, once located on the left-hand side of the bridge at road level, has also been demolished and the bridge parapet filled in.
