Building the last Main Line Railway

Flecknoe, Willoughby and Staverton: gcrcs133

Willoughby viaduct, apparently complete. This handsome 13 arch structure (bridge No. 471) - the majority of which lay in Warwickshire with the northern end in Northamptonshire - carried the London Extension across the River Leam. It was built by T. Oliver & Son, the firm responsible for Contract No.4 (Rugby to Woodford).
