Building the last Main Line Railway
Flecknoe, Willoughby and Staverton: gcrcs116
The completed brick arch occupation underbridge which
carried the London Extension over a farm track just south of Wolfhampcote,
photographed around 1897. Built by T. Oliver & Son as part of Contract No.4
(Rugby to Woodford), this structure (bridge no. 477) was one of countless
bridges constructed by the Great Central to provide farmers with access to
their land.
