Ex-NER 2-8-0 class O4 /1 No 63722 is seen leaving the tunnel
on a down goods train. 14th May 1949
Number 63722 was originally built by R.Stephenson & Co
in July 1919 to the order of the War Department which had adopted the GC's
design as its standard during World War One for the railway Operating
Department (ROD). When first built it carried the ROD running number 1700
before it carried the LNER running number 6199. It was withdrawn and scrapped
in November 1963 by Doncaster Plant.
