GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

View of Widney Manor's original signal box which was upgraded from 27 levers to 44 levers when the line was quadrupled in 1932 and remained in operation until its closure on 26th April 1959 although the box remained intact for a period afterwards. This view was taken from the goods shed and prior to the quadrupling of the line. The two additional lines were, in this view, located to the rear of the box which is why the signal box survived unlike a number on the line.
