Looking towards Birmingham with the up platform on the left. The station's main building were on the up platform where the booking office was located. The station's main building signs read from left to right, 'Gentlemen', 'Ladies Waiting Room' and 'Booking Office Waiting Room'. The gents toilets were accessd from a screened door in the side of the building, as was the case with the down platform. The Ladies toilets would be accessed from the Ladies Waiting Room whilst the general waiting for all passengers was part of the booking hall.
