GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line

Looking towards Stratford Upon Avon with the up platform on the left. The station was built as part of the Stratford to Hatton line prior to the creation of the GWR's new main line route from Snow Hill to the West of England in 1908. The creation of the link to Birmingham increased the usefulness of the railway to locals as it now provided a much faster and more direct route to England's second city.
