British Railways Standard 2MT 2-6-0 Mogul No 78009 is only six months old when it was seen approaching Stretton Fosse with a Shipston bound freight on 6th Oct 1953. Built at Darlington works in April 1953 it had a relatively short life being withdrawn in February 1964 from Barnwood shed near Gloucester to be scrapped in December 1964 at Swindon works.
