This close up of image 'gwrsrh286' shows the up platform in more detail. The cantilevered roof has had a short canopy projecting towards the platform to protect passengers from inclement weather. Despite having a spacious and substantial waiting room the station never had large numbers of passengers its fame being more associated with being next to the deep cutting at Harbury and adjacent to Southam Cement works.
