This close up of image 'gwrsh489' shows the permanent way team in action. Whether or not the station was open to passenger trains is unknown as the number of men working on both sets of tracks is eight which is thought to be a little larger than the normal team maintaining a stretch of line.

Other possible indicators that the line was not fully opened are, the trolley on the up mainline, the lack of staining between the rails and the general high level of cleanliness. Against this are the possibilities of passengers standing and sitting on the down platform.
