GWR Route: Stratford Upon Avon to Hatton

Looking through the gated access to platform 1 from outside the station. To the extreme left of the photograph a man is holding a 'Civil Engineering' ranging pole used with a theodolite to survey sites by a process of triangulation.

Note the number of trollies and porters barrows, one with several large parcels. Compared to other stations of a similar size, Stratford being a tourist destination, had a much larger percentage of passengers arriving with luggage than otherwise would be the case. C1954
