This exterior view of Moor Street shows the station in fundementally its original early 20th century condition.

Moor Street was rebuilt with terminating platforms to accommodate the increased commuter services following the opening of the North Warwickshire line. This provided relief for traffic for Snow Hill which had to pass through the bottleneck of Snow Hill tunnel.
