GWR Route: Moreton-in-Marsh to Shipston-on-Stour

An aerial view of Moreton-in-Marsh showing the station layout with the original tramway buildings at the bottom of the photograph and the branch line to Shipston-on-Stour curving away on the left. This photograph captures the branch in the last year of its passenger operations. Opposite the tramway terminus can be the seen the Creamery whose access road lies on the formation of the original tramway track prior to the route being severed by the OW & WR. It would appear, comparing the number of wagons standing in both the sidings by the tramway buildings and the number in the goods yard, that the branch's exchange sidings were also used to hold traffic destined for the goods shed too. 21st May 1929
