This close up of image 'gwrmm979' shows the unusual and intricate porch added to the main passenger structure after originally built. It is speculated that the porch was added sometime after 1872-3 when new buildings were erected. The station master's office was located on the right whilst the booking office, passenger waiting rooms and facilities were located in the middle at the opposite end of the building.
