GWR Route: Moreton-in-Marsh to Shipston-on-Stour

Close up of image 'gwrmm976' showing the Brunelian goods shed in greater detail including the central trasit area and twin doors at either end. The design would have accommodated the GWR's broad guage track had it ever arrived at Moreton-in-Marsh. The structure was timber framed with shiplap boarding on top of a brickwork base. Lighting was provided by the large openings together with the one window on the rail side of the building. The road vehicle on the right would indicate that this view was taken in the late 1940s, early 1950s.
