Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Castle class No 7000 'Viscount Portal enters the south end of the station with the 2 10pm Paddington to Birkenhad express on 7th October 1961. Number 7000 was built at Swindon works in May 1946 and remained in service until December 1963 when it was withdrawn from Worcester shed to be scrapped in June 1964 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
