This close up of image 'gwrls867' shows the end of the bay platform and the remains of the 'excursion' shed roof. The timber elevation to the rear of the building was original and the original station structure would have been similarly clad. The furthest windows provided natural light to the steps to the subway whilst the windows nearest the camera belonged to the waiting rooms, and in the middle, the refreshment room. The obligatory fire buckets filled with sand can be seen on the end wall.
