A GWR 0-6-0 'Armstrong Goods' thought to No 495 crosses the bridge that carries the line over Lower Avenue. The sign on the left is placed at the lower entrance to the station and subway to the up platforms. The posters that cover the wall on the right include what were once well high street names. The Daily Sketch once competed with the Mirror in pre-Sun days, Camp Coffee was a chicory based coffee concentrate in liquid form, Reckitts which once made laundry products and Blackpool as a holiday destination in days prior to cheap flights to the Mediterranean.
