Fresh from the works GWR Collett 0-6-0 No 2281 stands outside Leamington shed fully coaled and watered ready for its turn of duties. Number 2281 was built as a member of the 22xx class by Swindon works in January 1936 and lasted only twenty-three years in service before being withdrawn in November 1959 from Machynlleth to be scrapped over a year later in December 1960 by Swindon works. 22nd March 1936
