GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Leamington Shed: gwrls231a
This close up of image 'gwrls231' was included to show the
shed's turntable seen to the left of the bunker of GWR 0-6-0PT No 5700, the
standard GWR water columns and the 'fire-devils' used to protect the column
from freezing during the winter months. Careful observation will show the
vertical screw handle used to turn the water on and off as well as the fact
that each column had two 'fire-devils', one for the bag and one adjacent to the
column.
