Former Cambrian 4-4-0 No 1100 stands next to the water hydrant awaiting its turn to be coaled

GWR 4-4-0 No 1100 awaiting its turn to be coaled. Andy Kirkham from Google Groups UK Railway wrote "No 1100 is former Cambrian Railways No 67, one of a class of 20 built by Sharp, Stewart between 1893 and 1904. The class was withdrawn between 1921 and 1930. (info from Locomotives at the Grouping Volume 4 by HC Casserley & SW Johnston). I don't think I've previously ever seen photo of a former Cambrian loco situated neither in Wales nor on Cambrian metals.

Andrew Robert Breen, also of Google Groups, wrote "Looks like one of the examples which lasted more than a couple of years under the GWR regime, as it has the GWR tender and also has the Swindon-style 'zit' on the dome. Probably also had the salt-cellar added over the safety valves, but it's not visible from this angle. Still got the original chimney, though". C1929
