A view of the steelwork being raised for the new main station buildings with the new up platform canopy being erected in the background. This photograph shows the reconstruction of the Leamington station was commenced from the Birmingham end of the station with both platforms being rebuilt simultaneously. Careful observation will allow the reader to see that the canopy for the down platform is an integral pert of the main station building. The main structure had solid solid steel columns and beams whilst the canopy steelwork is constructed with lattice beams.
