This view shows the demolition of the original station's main buildings located on the down platform is now complete. To the extreme right of the photograph, beneath the contractors hut, the entrance to the original passenger subway can be seen. The remains of the modified 1853 roof are standing at the London end of the up platform and was the last section to stand before demolition.
