This view during construction clearly showing the different levels between the old and the new stations, with the new being built at some twelve feet lower than the original station. The new canopy is being erected with the top of the canopy being at a similar height to the original forecourt seen behind. The new entrance to the station was built several hundred feet further towards Warwick allowing for a much more impressive approach road which swept down on to a larger forecourt before the exiting to Warwick Old Road. Circa 1937-8
