This view shows the later 'County' class built by the GWR in the years after the Second World War. GWR 4-6-0 No 1016 'County of Hants' departs Leamington with an up express circa 1946. Number 1016 was built by Swindon works to Lot 370 in March 1946 and lasted in service until withdrawn from Shrewsbury shed in September 1963 to be scrapped by TW Ward of Broughton Lane, Sheffield, in February 1964.
