Ex-GWR 4-6-0 King class No 6008 'King James II' pulls into the down platform at the head of a down express circa 1948. Number 6008 was built at Swindon works in March 1928 and remained in service until it was withdrawn in June 1962 from Stafford Road shed to be scrapped in November 1962 at Swindon works.
