Ex-GWR 4-6-0 County class No 1029 'County of Worcester' pauses at the head of an up express ready for the 'off' signal circa 1949. Number 1029 was built at Swindon works in April 1947 and remained in service until December 1962 when it was officially withdrawn from Swindon works yet scrapped in September 1963 by J Cashmore of Newport.
