Long Marston Station: gwrlm599

Another early view of the station looking towards to Stratford Upon Avon with a local Stratford to Honeybourne passenger train entering the station. Whilst a similar view as seen in image 'gwrlm481' there are certain differences. The most obvious being the station staff standing on the down (left) platform. There are no milk churns on the down platform and the time of year also appears to be different as evident with the flower beds on both platforms.

The down platform has had its 'picket' type fencing replaced with metal railings, thereby compelling the railway to raise higher the station's sign, whilst on the up platform the original 'picket' fence remains. Later photographs show this too was replaced with metal railings of a similar pattern to those on the down platform.
