Another later view of the station looking towards Stratford upon Avon. The photograph was taken at the same time as image 'gwrlm479' and with the crossing opened shows the platform has received concrete lampposts equipped with electric lights, the straitness of the line, as well as the white painted platform edging. The latter being introduced as a safety feature during the 'blackout' introduced during the Second World War to prevent aid to enemy bombers.
