Long Marston Station: gwrlm481b
This close up of image 'gwrlm481' shows the signal box and
station building devoid of station noticeboards and posters with the exception
of the 'Pears' poster, a once well known soap brand, on the gable end. Of
interest are the milk churns waiting to be collected and the metal railings
which replaced timber 'picket' fencing seen in early photographs. When the
timber fencing was replaced the station sign was raised approximately 2' higher
as seen above.
