This close up of image 'gwrlm478' shows the level crossing, the timber framed waiting room on the up platform and the pointwork of the refuge siding on the down side north of the level crossing. Note there are four lower quadrant signals in view, all to the north of the level crossing. The signal on the extreme left above the waiting room on the up platform controls traffic on the up line leaving the confines of the station, whilst the smaller signal on the extreme right controls traffic exiting the refuge siding. The other two signals in the middle control both up and down through traffic.
