A close up of image 'gwrl133' showing the new signal box built in June 1932, which contained a massive 78 lever frame, and some of the track layout at the Birmingham end of the station. As can be seen when compared with image 'gwrl132', the quadrupling of the tracks led to a more spacious and busy station. A porters barrow crossing is sited at the end of the up platform as is sign warning passengers only to cross the line by the footbridge. C1952
