GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Hockley and Duddeston: gwrhs90a
This close up of image 'gwrhs90' shows the typical GWR
designed station sign although the background appears to be BR maroon and the
lettering in BR cream. The small sign to the right of the station sign with the
figure '6' has the word 'cars' below indicating to drivers of DMUs that 6 car
units that they should stop opposite.
Behind the two cement wagons is a mobile road crane for
unloading heavy objects including the early railway containers which fitted on
to four wheel flat wagons. To the right of the photograph can be seen a warning
sign - "Passengers must not to cross the line except by means of the
footbridge".
