Looking towards Wolverhampton with Watville Road bridge in the distance. The station's extensive goods yard is on the left. The photographer is standing on the main Birmingham platform where the main station building's were located. There were four platforms in total, two on the island to the left of the photograph and the fourth on the far left adjacent to the goods yard. Note the barrow crossing at the very end of the platform.
