Both platforms were extended towards the road bridge in May 1892 and at the same time the short bay seen here was constructed. This work had necessitated reconstruction of the road bridge. The horsebox (telegraphic code PACO) in the bay may have been used to transport race horses to and from the nearby Warwick Racecourse.
