A general view of station looking towards Warwick taken in about 1933 with the main station facilities on the up platform on the left. The new 84 lever platform type South Signal Box was constructed on the island platform this side of the footbridge in January 1937. The platform lighting was still oil lamps at this time and the change in platform edging in the foreground on the left indicates where the platform ended prior to it being extended towards the road bridge (behind the photographer) in May 1892. The original South Signal Box can be seen in the distance beyond the end of the island platform. The branch platform bay line (on the right) was worked as a single line between the Middle and South boxes without the protection of a single line token or an acceptance lever.
