The demolition of the old Outward and Tranship shed and construction of the Top shed caused significant problems to logistics including parking of transport. In a scene more reminiscent of a war film showing abandoned lorries left by fleeing soldiers, the yard's transport lies strewn in front of the main office block. 12th February 1940
