The main offices on 11th August 1943 showing the rebuilding
work following the air raid some twenty months earlier. The external structure
has now largely been repaired although repairs to the inside are still far from
complete. The damage caused to the building by the blast meant that the
building needed to be rebuilt for most of its length with only the gable end
nearest to the camera appearing to be the least damaged. The distinctive
veranda has now been replaced by a balcony with side hand rails.
