View of the work being carried to repair the bomb damage to the offices and Top shed on 15th May 1941. The newly completed Top shed received blast damage from the air raid, as can be seen in the photograph above, where the fascia end and part of the roof has been destroyed. The repairs to the office block on the left have not moved on much since the photograph taken four months earlier. As Frank Popplewell suggests, wartime conditions undoubtedly affected the supply of men and materials.
