GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

The newly completed Top shed received blast damage from the air raid, as can be seen in the photograph above, where the fascia end and part of the roof has been destroyed. The repairs to the office block on the left have not moved on much since the photograph taken four months earlier. As Frank Popplewell speculates, wartime conditions undoubtedly affected the supply of men and materials. 15th May 1941
