The demolition work to build the new Top shed allowed the old rail connection to be seen in this view. On the right a wagon can just be seen waiting its turn to proceed to the wagon turntable then to be turned 90 degrees to enter the tunnel. In front of the tunnel a box van is passing under the loading gauge hauled by powered capstans pulling on ropes. 8th March 1939
