GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

The importance of well lit sheds meant that the majority of
the roof was glazed to take advantage of natural daylight. This view along deck
2 and 1 shows little activity suggesting to Frank Popplewell that the
photograph was taken between shifts . Deck 1, which rarely was used to
accommodate railway vehicles, is being used as a cartage deck, the rows of
parked horse-drawn vehicles is evident by the shafts raised in the air. 11th
